Events in Rhine Ruhr

Stretching from beyond Dortmund in the east across the state capital of Düsseldorf then south below Bonn, Rhine Ruhr is a vast region comparitable in size to Paris or London.

As such, the metropolitan area presents an impressive variety of events the whole year through. Depending on the season and the weather, expats and visitors can enjoy open air activities such as funfairs, music festivals and spectator sports. Or bathe in Shakespeare’s works in English and view world-class stage performances.

Lovers of exhibitions are spoilt for choice as are enthusiasts of classical music or jazz.

Events in Ruhr

Visitors to the Ruhr region can enjoy such open air activities as the funfairs, former industrial parks or cycling and hiking the beauty of the Ruhr valley. Or stay indoors to experience many of the music festivals and performances on offer including classical and jazz.

Events in Neuss

The annual stage performances of the Shakespeare Festival stun audiences in the cosy, if minimalistic Globe theatre during the summer. The other, the International Dance Weeks, brightens up the winter months with powerful emotional displays of artful movement.

Events in Düsseldorf

With excellent exhibitions in many art venues and museums and fascinating events almost every month, the kaleidoscope of things to do in Düsseldorf is surprising. Carnival, the Fun Fair, Christmas markets, Japanese and French festivals and the Altstadt all attract the crowds.
