Just down the road in neighbouring Düsseldorf, two organisations with movie theatres or cinemas show movies in the original language. The CineStar tends to screen more popular mainstream releases and blockbusters in original at their modern multiplex cinema. Metropol Filmkunstkinos show mostly art house films in original with German subtitles in one of their cosy, more traditional theatres.

The Hitch cinema in Neuss often shows films in diverse original languages such as Portugese, French and English. The library in Neuss have held English Movie Weeks during some summers over recent years. They do rent out DVDs.

The links to CineStar and Filmkunstkinos will redirect to relevant inserts on Amazing Dusseldorf, where most films can be found under the “Screenings” tab.
