For those that enjoy the hunt for bric-a-brac (Trödel), fleamarkets (Trödelmärkte) and car boot sales in Neuss are excellent places to find unusual and useful stuff for the home. Germans love them as much as any other nationalities do and numerous opportunities exist in the region.
The town is host to two fantastic fleamarkets that weave their way through the centre of town twice a year. These huge events normally take place on Mother’s Day and in the Autumn. Hundreds of stands are run by private individuals as well as professional dealers.
Other organisers stage regular car boot sales on the car parks of shopping malls and on open spaces such as the race course.
