Neuss benefits from an ideal location close to three airports in Cologne, Dusseldorf and Weeze. Düsseldorf may be considered the most important, due to its vicinity and number of destinations. Cologne Bonn and Weeze are about an hours drive away and, whilst relatively easy to get to, journey times can be somewhat unpredictable in such a densely populated and highly motorised region.
The airport in Düsseldorf is easy to navigate and is one where the necessary formalities surrounding a flight can be surprisingly smooth. It is only a few minutes by taxi from Neuss and the terminals are connected to the national rail system.
Cologne Bonn airport was built in the countryside and has attracted a mix of international airlines and many low fare airlines. The number two in North Rhine-Westphalia is connected to the motorway and national rail networks.
The airport in Weeze is a favourite of low fare airlines, offering interesting connections and serviced by buses to the airport and is close to the motorway.
