Art house films in original languages: Those who enjoy art house films more than mainstream love getting to know the group of intimate movie theatres run by the Filmkunstkinos. Screens in the Atelier, Bambi, Cinema, Metropol or Souterrain regularly show movies in the original language, OV, mostly in English, often in French, sometimes in Spanish, Dutch, Japanese or others.

Films are mostly screened with subtitles (OmU), making it easier for German friends whose grasp of the English language may not enable an enjoyable evening at the cinema.

A collection of independent locations offers cosy and traditional surroundings. Many films can actually be viewed pre-release in an atmosphere that does the so-called seventh art true justice. Especially when enjoying a good glass of wine available at all locations.

Please confirm dates, times and locations of screenings with Filmkunstkinos before going to avoid any possible disappointment.
