Soccer in Düsseldorf

The state of North Rhine Westphalia is the home of a few of the most famous German teams. Düsseldorf too hosts a team that has had its moments. Known as the DEG, fame and fortune stems from the late nineteen seventies and early eighties.

The occasions to enjoy the atmosphere of top-class games come and go regularly, yet the team is semmly somewhat challenged to rejoin the first league (Bundesliga). Germany’s most popular sport was, is and always will be soccer, and it is of especially great significance to this region. The fans of DEG are especially opinionated and, mostly, loyal. Their modern stadium affords good views, comfort and all necessary refreshments.

Following the Fifa World Cup in 2006, soccer euphoria has become credited for helping to create a society that feels happier with itself showing signs of patriotism.
