Relaxation nearby, excitement in the region

Dusseldorf is located in an area with a vast population where everyone searches for recreation. The perfect location of North Rhine Westphalia has attracted concerns who have created various recreational and amusement parks for young and old alike.

In the Ruhr region, it is possible to study creatures of the sea, experience giant building blocks from childhood or bathe in the glorious atmosphere of Hollywood, for instance. The whole family can have fun. Near Neuss the vast open cast mine is a one of a kind wonder for those who are interested.

Closer to home the wide banks of the Rhine offer great opportunities to spent the day near the water and enjoy the scenery.

Cycling

The whole state of NRW offers an almost perfect, broad network of circular cycling routes and plenty of cycle paths can be found along the banks of the Ruhr and Rhine rivers. Many smaller rivers and the canals also offer wonderful trips. Trains and trams help cover long distances.

Scenic Routes

The region offers many ways of escaping to scenic countryside. Shorts excursions can be made to Zons or Uerdenbach or farther afield the area of Eifel-Ardennes awaits, located across the four open borders of Germany, Belgium, France and Luxembourg.

Opencast Mine

The vicinity of Neuss offers a spectacular insight to the workings of a traditional source of energy in Germany. Several enormous machines can be observed as they work their way across the countryside near Neuss, at the Garzweiler opencast mine.
