Thousands of people of all ages from young to old participate year for year in the Bridge Run in Düsseldorf. The 10 km course crosses two of the city’s bridges, the Oberkasseler and the Rheinknie, runs along the Oberkasseler Rhine flats and finishes in the old town.
Children’s courses start in the morning at 1km or 2km long for the young or very young and up to 5 km for the teenagers. Later, those who are still young at heart can choose to run the intermediate 5 km or the full 10 km course.
The rule is, participants must have fun. And although some may see the odd serious runner training for the marathon held in Dusseldorf later in the month, attendees can walk, hop, skip or jump and even run the course.
A fun event that the whole family can enjoy, whether watching or taking part.
