Events in Düsseldorf

A kaleidoscope of marvellous activities and memorable entertainment

Written by Garry and last edited by Garry on

With excellent exhibitions in many art venues and museums as well as fascinating things to do almost every month, the kaleidoscope of events in Düsseldorf is surprising.

From Carnival to the Fun Fair, the Christmas markets to Japanese (Japan Day) and French (France Festival) themed festivals, life in the Rhineland is where virtually any excuse will do for a parade or a a street event. Most accompanied by beer, sausage and assorted delicacies on a grand scale.

People here love to let their hair down and have a good time. All year round, the narrow bar-lined streets of Düsseldorf’s Altstadt are packed with revellers, especially during the days and weeks leading up to Christmas and on long summer evenings. In Düsseldorf, partying is practically an expression of local patriotism.

Entries can be found in alphabetical order in the navigation and according to start dates below.
